The HPE 873802-001 is a standard fan module for 2U Gen10 ProLiant rack servers. A DL380 Gen10 in single processor configuration typically runs four standard fans, and a dual processor configuration six, each array carrying N plus 1 redundancy. Adding a second processor to a single socket node therefore usually means adding fans as well, which is a step buyers often discover late.
