It is the native memory speed of the Intel Xeon E5-2600 V4 generation, which means it is the correct match for Dell PowerEdge R630 and R730 systems running V4 processors as well as HPE ProLiant Gen9 servers on the same platform refresh. Populating these systems at 2400 MT/s lets the memory controller run at full rated speed rather than stepping down.
