It is the flagship speed of the 1st Gen Intel Xeon Scalable platform, making it the factory match for the Dell PowerEdge R640, R740, and R740XD and the HPE ProLiant DL360 and DL380 Gen10. These servers remain the workhorses of many production environments, and DDR4-2666 is the most common speed we see requested for capacity upgrades and failed module replacements.
