The Intel Xeon Silver 4500 series is the entry tier of the 5th Generation Intel Xeon Scalable (Emerald Rapids) family on socket LGA4677, with DDR5-4400 memory, PCIe 5.0, and larger caches than the 4400 line it succeeds. The range spans the high clock 8 core 4509Y, the mainstream 12 core 4510, the 115W 4510T for edge and long life duty, the 16 core 4514Y, and the 24 core flagship 4516Y+ with built in accelerators.

Sharing socket LGA4677 with the Sapphire Rapids generation, the 4500 series is a strong consolidation and per core licensing play for current generation PowerEdge and ProLiant fleets.
