The HPE 869079-B21 is the low profile heatsink (LH) version of the Smart Array E208i-a SR Gen10 type-a modular RAID controller for ProLiant Gen10 servers. HPE specifies this LH version in place of the standard E208i-a when GPUs are installed in the ProLiant DL360 Gen10. It provides eight internal 12Gb/s SAS lanes across two x4 mini SAS ports from the dedicated flexible slot, with RAID 0, 1, 5, and 10 plus Mixed Mode HBA pass-through and no cache. The standard heatsink version (836259-001 family) is listed separately.
