The HPE 843201-001 is a Smart Array P840ar modular (AROC) RAID controller with 2GB of DDR3-1866 flash backed write cache (FBWC) and 12Gb/s SAS connectivity for ProLiant Gen9 servers. It provides sixteen internal physical links across two x8 internal ports from the dedicated slot, leaving PCIe expansion slots free, with hardware RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50, 60, and 10 ADM plus support for SAS tape devices. Note this is the modular P840ar, distinct from the PCIe adapter P840 (784486-001) listed separately.
