The Dell PERC H745P MX is the PERC 10 controller for Dell modular compute sleds, and it does something the other MX controllers cannot: it reaches outside the sled. In a multipath topology it connects through the SAS input output modules to a storage sled, giving the compute sled hardware RAID over drives that physically live elsewhere in the chassis. If you are attaching modular storage, this is the card the configuration requires. An 8GB DDR4 non volatile flash backed cache sits behind a PCIe 3.0 interface with sixteen ports, supporting RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50, and 60.

Compatible part numbers: YW4RM, 0YW4RM. The leading zero form is the same part; Dell prints both conventions.

Compatible with: Dell PowerEdge MX740c and MX840c compute sleds, including multipath attachment to the MX5016s storage sled.
