The Dell V5FKR is a PERC 10 H840 external RAID controller for 14th generation PowerEdge servers. It provides two external x4 mini SAS HD ports for attaching JBOD enclosures, delivering 12Gb/s SAS connectivity with 4GB of non volatile write cache protected by an onboard energy pack. It supports hardware RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50, and 60 across up to 240 drives, making it the controller of choice for expanding server storage into direct attached enclosures. This is the external facing successor to the H830 and is listed separately from the internal H740P family.
