The Dell K2Y8N is the 24 bay 2.5 inch hybrid backplane for the 14th generation PowerEdge storage dense 2U platform. It runs SAS and SATA drives across all twenty four small form factor bays and supports up to twelve NVMe drives when paired with the appropriate PCIe expander card and cabling, which are not included. It is the board to fit when a 24 bay chassis loses drive detection or a build calls for mixed flash and spinning disk in one front end. Note that the companion expansion board circulates under 58D2W and is a separate physical part.
