Built on the Broadcom SAS4116W RAID on chip with an 8GB non volatile cache and a PCIe Gen4 host interface, it delivers hardware RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50, and 60 across SAS, SATA, and NVMe media at 24Gbps SAS4 drive speeds. Sled platforms use a variant of this adapter with a detachable energy pack that installs in the air shroud.
