The Dell 9K2C2 is a PERC 11 H755N front mounted RAID controller (fPERC) built specifically for NVMe drives on 15th generation PowerEdge servers. Unlike the SAS variants of the H755 family, the H755N connects directly to NVMe U.2 drives over PCIe 4.0 and provides hardware RAID across them, delivering full flash array performance with 8GB of non volatile write cache protected by an onboard energy pack. It supports RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50, and 60 plus non RAID pass-through. This is the controller for all NVMe backplane configurations where hardware RAID is required rather than software or pass-through.
