The Dell 9G3T5 (Dell description ASSY,CBL,NPIO,8HD BP,MB) routes the 8 bay 2.5 inch SFF backplane to the system board SATA A/B ports for S140 software RAID. It carries two right angle SFF-8643 connectors on the backplane side to two SATA connectors on the board side, with runs of 28.5 and 20 inches. Operators running onboard S140 RAID instead of a hardware PERC in 14th generation 1U platforms need this exact cable; it is sized for the 8 bay chassis.
