The Dell 588DM is the mechanical NVMe riser assembly used in the 10 bay configuration of the 14th generation PowerEdge 1U platform, carrying PCIe lanes for four U.2 NVMe drives from the system board toward the drive side. The same assembly also circulates under the number 5VKVR, and both identify one part. It is the piece to replace when the NVMe portion of a 10 bay chassis loses its drive connectivity, or when building a chassis up to the x10 NVMe capable configuration.
