The HPE 879654-001 is a standard fan module for 2U Gen10 ProLiant rack servers. Standard modules maintain correct airflow through the chassis under ordinary processor and drive loading. Where a node carries rear drives, GPUs or NVMe, the high performance fan kit is required rather than optional, so check the configuration before ordering standard parts.
