The Dell P78D4 is an 8 bay 2.5 inch U.2 NVMe backplane board for 14th generation PowerEdge tower platforms. It carries eight small form factor NVMe bays in the tower drive cage to the system's PCIe path and is the board to replace when the NVMe cage of a chassis loses drive detection. Teams running T640 and T440 towers with flash storage will find this the direct OEM spare; the surrounding cage, cables, and extender board circulate under their own part numbers and are not included.
