The Dell 794YV is the backplane expansion board used in the 24x2.5 inch small form factor configuration of the 14th generation PowerEdge four socket platform. It works alongside the 24 bay backplane board, expanding drive connectivity between the backplane and the storage controller path. It is the piece to replace when the expansion side of a 24 bay front end fails while the backplane itself is healthy. Note that the backplane board circulates under 4HWVY and the complete assembly kit under KFHVV; those are separate physical parts and this listing is the expansion board only.
